Our Story

WHERE WE BEGAN

Founded by Bobby and Palita Duchowny, Lemongrass House has grown to become a leading provider of handmade spa products to the world's top hotels and spas.

The vision for Lemongrass House developed when Bobby was visiting Thailand and fell in love with the country and decided to stay. His knowledge of aromatherapy led to his introduction to an organic farming project where he became interested in extracting pure plant oils from the crops.

Bobby and Palita started making small batches of natural insecticide, using Neem Oil, in the kitchen of their apartment, and sold it at the Chatuchak Market in Bangkok. UNICEF in Thailand heard about them and placed large orders for their signature mosquito spray to be used by their teams working in the field.

Lemongrass House creates fresh spa products formulated with pure essential oils and plant extracts, blended one kilogram at a time, by hand.

We are strongly committed to the environment, which is reflected in all aspects of our business.  Only the freshest and most natural ingredients are used in our products which are free of preservatives, chemicals and dyes. All of the ingredients we use come from safe, renewable resources to ensure our clients love our products as much as we love making them.

Our products are free of sulphates, parabens and dyes. We never ever test our products on animals - only occasionally on people we love.

Our packaging is made from 100% recycled and recyclable materials.

Since 1996, we have been continually looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and do our part to protect our planet.

 

WHERE WE ARE NOW

Today, Lemongrass House produces more than 1,200 products and has grown to become one of the leading spa and hotel suppliers in the world, with products distributed in 30 countries and supplied to over 120 beautiful luxury hotels, including Aman Resorts and Spas, Four Seasons Resorts, Hilton Hotels, One and Only and Le Meridien.

Our product range includes something for the whole family, even for our furry friends: body creams and lotions, hair care, bath products and room/pillow sprays, all still blended and produced by hand in their facility in Cherngtalay, Phuket, and is now available in Australia.
